The Street Services Division is responsible for maintenance and repair of public roads and sidewalks.  The City maintains over 6 lane miles of dirt roads and 607 lane miles of pavement, with year-round preventive maintenance.  We rely on our residents to assist us by reporting areas in need of repair and potholes.

In addition to road maintenance, the Street Services Division maintains 30 traffic signals.

Street Pavement Preservation Schedule 2024-2025

Starting Monday, October 28, 2024, the City will begin street pavement preservation efforts, continuing through the end of May 2025. Contractors—Choice Maintenance, Sunland, Cactus Asphalt, and ViaSun—will be working in various neighborhoods.

Signs will be posted at subdivision entrances, and flyers will be delivered to residents as needed. Please be aware that "No Parking" signs and lane restrictions may be in place during the project. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding during this time.

3. Dries Rd, Hayden Dr, Thornberry Ln, Macneil St & Robbins Dr, in Homestead (Dec 2024)

5. Cobblestone Farms (Jan-March 2025)
6. Acacia Crossings (Jan-March 2025)

Roadways in following subdivisions are scheduled to receive a Fog Seal this Fall/Winter:

1. Farrell Rd and Palo Rojo (in Palo Brea) 
2. Mirage St (in Rancho Mirage)

Some of the neighborhoods in the City will be receiving additional pavement preservation in the Spring after the temperatures rise. Roadways in the following subdivisions are scheduled to receive a Fog Seal or Slurry Seal and re-striping in the Spring 2025:

2. Roosevelt Ave and Rio Dr (in Acacia Crossings)
